Spotlight Sports Group has appointed Adam Gill as its new Chief Technology Officer. Gill joined the London-based company on 2 June to lead its technology and engineering division.
Leadership and AI Strategy
Gill previously worked at the market research firm Savanta. In his new capacity, he will manage software development and engineering teams across the group. A primary focus of his tenure will be the implementation of an AI adoption programme designed to engage new audiences.
Gill intends to apply his background in data-led businesses to enhance the Racing Post platform as it approaches its 40th anniversary.
"As Racing Post enters its 40th year, there is a real opportunity to use technology to engage new audiences, deepen the value we deliver to operators and make AI a practical capability across the business," Gill said. Chris Duncan, COO of Spotlight, noted that Gill’s experience aligns with the company's current investment phase.
Duncan stated that Gill would play a key role in growing subscription capabilities and integrating AI across the group.
Recent Product Developments
This appointment coincides with the recent launch of the Racing Innovation strategy for 2026. In January, the company introduced Smart View Tipping Feed and Racing Bet Builder to provide algorithm-driven tools for operators. These products were developed to simplify the betting experience and offer data-driven solutions for customer engagement.
